All-Ages GAME DAY – Sunday, June 8th at 10:15am

Everyone is invited to join us for an all-ages Family FUN Game Day on Sunday, June 8th right after church in the Fellowship Hall! A pizza lunch will be provided! Free and open to all! Hosted by the Christian Education Committee.

LUNCH, LAUGH, & LEARN – Thursday May 29th at 11:30am!
Grace is “expanding the tent” of our LLL series. Members and friends of all ages are invited to cultivate faith with a lively program on God & gardening. Join us for a virtual garden-walk of peonies; lunch; fellowship; and shared worship. Presentation: “Consider the (Peonies) of the Field…” with Nate and Kim Bremer.

Enjoy a lively program on the peony- one of today’s most beloved flowers. Lift your spirit with images of beautiful peonies, including rare, new, and historic varieties. Explore the amazing array of peony types, forms, and colors, including new introductions from the Solaris hybridizing program. Discover how our own midwestern and Wisconsin hybridizers have impacted the peony world. Plus, learn how Grace members, Nate and Kim Bremer, cultivated an internationally known specialty peony business from a small family daylily farm, sparked by a chance encounter with Manitowoc plantsman, Bill Seidl. A short Q & A discussion will follow.

Sign Up at the Information Desk to reserve your spot for lunch by Sunday, May 25. Or call the church office at 920-553-1222.

MOON BEACH RETREAT ~ August 15-17th Join us on the beautiful shoreline of Moon Lake for our all-church retreat at Moon Beach camp this year in August! While we’ve normally gone in September, this year we’ll be there a month earlier – hopefully this means better weather to enjoy the lake!  We arrive Friday evening and stay until Sunday morning. There are opportunities to connect with church friends old and new through worship, games, craft projects, hiking, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and eating together — but the schedule is casual and nothing is required. Read a book, take a nap, lounge by the shore…. The weekend is yours to relax and reconnect with yourself and with God.   All are welcome, from families with young kids to teens to older adults; bring a friend or come by yourself. Have your own cabin or choose to share. Some cabins are newly renovated and handicap accessible, and some are quaint and more rustic. Food is prepared for us and camp staff are on hand to assist us as needed.

Thanks to church fundraisers (primarily the Rally Day Pie Auction) and scholarships from the church Endowment, fees for the weekend are greatly reduced — and further financial help is available as needed (ask Pastor Colie). Grab a registration form from the information desk, or contact Penny in the church office.

“IT TAKE A VILLAGE: THE MENTAL HEALTH OF OUR KIDS AND TEENS,
WHAT CAN COMMUNITIES DO TO HELP.”
Wednesday, May 21, 2025
Gathering: 6:15 Fellowship Hall, light refreshments provided, babysitting offered.
Panel discussion: 6:30-7:30
Questions & Dialogue: 7:30-8:00.
During May is mental health month, the mental health task force from Grace is offering a panel of 4 mental health experts discussing “what are the issues impacting youth, signs of mental distress, and what are solutions and supports?” The goals are to build awareness, understanding, compassion, community connections, and to reduce stigma. If you are a parent, grandparent, church member or neighbor, you are welcome to attend. Bring a friend.

Right after church on Sunday, March 2, we’ll have an all-ages Mardi Gras potluck in the Fellowship Hall. Bring a dish to pass or just come as you are for food, fellowship, and fun! After a bit of time to simply be together, we’ll have a sing-along. There is a sign up sheet at the information desk to indicate how many will be attending and what you will bring to share. Or you can click HERE to register online (scroll to March 2 date and sign up), or call the office to sign up too, 920.553.1222. We look forward to our time together.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8th, 2025, we’re having a youth movie night at church! Any youth, 7th through 12th grade, are welcome, and friends are invited too. We’ll begin at church at 5:30, in the Fellowship Hall. We’ll have pizza and snacks.

Mentors are invited — and parents are welcome too if you’d like to come.

We’ll be watching the movie  “The Shack”. (It’s rated PG-13)
Here’s a synopsis: After suffering a family tragedy, Mack Phillips spirals into a deep depression that causes him to question his innermost beliefs. Facing a crisis of faith, he receives a mysterious letter urging him to an abandoned shack in the Oregon wilderness. Despite his doubts, Mack journeys to the shack and encounters an enigmatic trio of strangers led by a woman named Papa. Through this meeting, Mack finds important truths that will transform his understanding of his tragedy and change his life forever.

After the movie, we’ll have a short discussion. We should be done around 8pm.

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Pastor Colie or to Pastor Mark.

* Note: this activity is in place of confirmation class & Gen G youth group that evening.

After 9am worship, join us for a breakfast for ALL Sunday School kids and their families in the fellowship hall!

Food will be followed by an explanation of this year’s educational offerings and sign-up for Sunday School classes.

This year we’ve got a special class for 3 and 4 year olds; a Godly Play classroom for K thru 6th; and, get this: Ukelele Sunday School for grades 4 and up!

(if you haven’t yet, the breakfast is also a chance to meet the church’s new Christian Education Director Mark Schmitt)

Any youth 7th through 12th grade are invited to a kickoff night on Wed, Sept 13 at 6:00pm.

Bring the whole family – parents and siblings of all ages. We’ll have dinner together, then split into groups (Confirmation for 7th/8th graders and Generation G for High School youth) to talk about what the year will bring.

Please RSVP to Mark Schmitt to make sure we have enough food. schmittmark41@gmail.com
